MAY 2026 CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS REPORT MIRA MESA COMMUNITY PARK PHASE II IMPROVEMENTS.

Construction Progress Report of April 20 to May 20:
We are now out of the second rainy season (October–April). The total number of non-compensable weather delay days since project commencement remains at 24.
Security cameras have been installed throughout the park by the contractor to help protect the nearly completed facilities. The cameras are programmed to notify the police if unauthorized activity is detected after hours (weekdays from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., and all day on weekends). The contractor has also hired a security guard.
The guard is present on site during non-business hours, Monday through Friday, and throughout the weekend to help secure the site.
Ongoing Work:
• Ongoing installation of underground irrigation improvements.
• Ongoing planting of sod, trees, and shrubs.
• Ongoing installation of overhead pool plumbing and electrical within equipment building.
• Ongoing installation of sports lighting controls.
• Ongoing commissioning of HVAC improvements at recreation center and aquatic complex.
• Ongoing installation of site bleachers.
• Ongoing installation of steel ledges at all wheels plaza.
• Ongoing concrete placement for parking lot ribbon gutter.
• Ongoing installation of playground surfacing.
• Ongoing installation of privacy screen at aquatic complex perimeter.
Completed Installations and Repairs:
• Soil amendment of areas to receive new sod
• Installation of gates for trash enclosure
• New sod for ballfields #3 and #4
• Concrete placement at public artwork structure.
• Installation of 20-foot-tall perimeter fencing for ballfields.
Outside agency coordination:
Continued close coordination with the neighboring Epicentre project, managed by the County of San Diego.
Continued close coordination with SDG&E planners.
Continue close coordination with DEH inspectors.
Coordination with AT&T planners has been finalized.
